 |
|
Siberian Pea Shrub (Caragana
arborescens) is an upright, deciduous shrub, that can be trained into a small
tree. It grows up to15ft. in height and 10ft. in width and has an oval form. It is
hardy to zone 2a, prefers full sun and well-drained soil. Peashrub is very hardy and
useful in adverse situations. It requires little maintenance, is
very tolerant of drought, cold winter temperatures, and poor soil conditions. Has good
tolerance to alkaline soils and deicing salt, and is not bothered by rabbits. Often used
as a windbreak or can be pruned into a tall informal hedge. |
