Bur Oak (Quercus
macrocarpa) is a large, rugged tree, growing 50 to
80 ft. Its form is round to widespreading. Bur Oak is native throughout the upper
midwest and grows in many different sites. It is extremely adaptable to a wide range of
environmental conditions. Bur Oak is a large tree and needs room to spread.Very tolerant
of drought and alkaline soils. Hardy to zone 3, it likes full sun. |
