Purple Loosestrife Task Force

Dave Weber, CDOW Wildlife Biologist, has taken the lead in the effort to control purple loosestrife in the Denver area by helping organize control efforts involving over 15 agencies and organizations. Dave's hard-working crew usually begins their purple loosestrife control season in mid-June, finishing up around the end of August. They spend their days scouting, monitoring, clipping flowerheads, and carefully applying herbicides to purple loosestrife infestations in the Denver-metro area.
