Seedling Tree Program

Do you own 2 or more acres of land?

Are you interested in improving the air quality around you?

Do you need a visual screen or a wind break?

If you answered yes to any of these questions then you may want to check into the seedling tree program.

We have a wide variety of windbreak trees available to order from your local Colorado State University Extension Office.  Order forms are available for people who have two or more acres of land.  They may be picked up at your local Extension Office or by clicking on the link to your county.
(Order form is on legal size paper.)

Baca County  |  Bent County Cheyenne County  |  Crowley County Kiowa County   |  Otero County   |  Prowers County

Advantages of planting trees around your farmstead include the following:

bullet Improve air quality, trees absorb carbon dioxide and replenish the atmosphere with oxygen.
bullet Help save energy by cooling in the hotter months and as windbreaks during the winter.
bullet Windbreaks reduce noise.
bullet Improves water quality by reducing runoff and erosion.
bullet Trees improve wildlife diversity by providing habitat.
bullet Provide income from Christmas tree sales.  Windbreak trees can only be resold as cut Christmas trees.

"There are both, barerooted and potted varieties available at this time, but I suggest you order soon because supplies are limited to a first-come basis."

Orders will be taken until March 1, 2012 with the seedlings arriving in Mid March.
