Chitalpa tashkentensis 'Pink Dawn', with its 3 to 5 inch long dark green leaves, is a cross between the Desert Willow (Chilopsis linearis) and the Southern Catalpa (Catalpa bignonioides).

This tree will eventually reach a height and spread of 25 feet.

Due to its parentage, the Chitalpa has the ability to withstand hot dry weather and still withstand low temperatures.

Summer heat can result in leaf scorch on Chitalpa.
