Preparing the site - October 13, 2004


Half dead, diseased and hazardous trees were removed


Debris was collected and trucked to the Mesa County Landfill

The area was graded to remove weeds

October 14, 2004


The soil was ripped to a depth of 20 inches.

A rock rake was used to collect and move rocks off the site.


Two hundred yards of Mesa Blend provided by the Mesa
County Compost Facility
was applied and spread over the area to help enhance plant growth.
October 15, 2004


The Organic matter was ripped in to a depth of 20 inches.

Dave DeJong continued to pick rock.
