Program Description:

The Food Stamp Nutrition Education Program (FSNEP) is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture through the Department of Human Services, Food Stamp Program and administered through Cooperative Extension. The primary focus of FSNEP is to address the problem of food security in its broad sense, among limited resource Coloradoans. The Colorado FSNEP Program is committed to providing this audience with nutrition, food safety and food resource management education aimed at promoting food security and overall health.

Program Responsibility:

Collaborate/ Liaise with agencies, public & private, working with the eligible audience. Recruit eligible adults to become nutrition students. Teach them a series of classes in nutrition, food safety and food resource management.

Recruit adults to attend short one subject presentations in the areas of nutrition, food safety or food resource management.

Recruit at-risk youth to take a series of classes in nutrition.
