Each 4-H member selects one or more "projects" each year from a list of about 100 different topics such as: dog obedience, cake decorating, leather craft, cooking, dairy goat, sewing, photography, pet care, arts & crafts, etc. Call the 4-H office at 303-730-1920 for a complete list.

4-H clubs may offer one or several 4-H projects, depending on the availability of adult volunteers who share their time and talents in guiding 4-H members from the beginning to completion of their projects.

4-H projects are experiential learning with hands-on activities over a period of several weeks or months. Each project has a 4-H manual for reference and record book to keep as a journal of what was learned. At the end of the 4-H year, 4-H members enter an exhibit at the county fair for each 4-H project
completed. At the fair, an impartial judge interviews each 4-H member, compares exhibits, and chooses award winners in each category.

To sign-up for a 4-H project, each youth must join 4-H as a member in either a community club or an individual family club.
