Horticulture

We provide information and
educational programs on horticulture for both the green industry and
home gardeners. Master Gardener volunteers are available to
answer telephone calls throughout the year and to assist walk-in
clients during the growing season (March through October).
Professional staff are available in the office year round to help
with insect identification and diagnosing and solving garden and
landscape plant problems.
The horticulture program
answers questions about urban cultivated plants and associated
environmental, disease, insect, and other pest problems.
Household insect pests of food and clothing are another area of
expertise. We maintain reference material and a microscope to
help in the identification and diagnosis of plant and insect
specimens. |
