ARCHULETA COUNTY
EXTENSION STAFF

Terry Schaaf

Administrative Assistant

Terry was raised here in Archuleta County on the family ranch in Chromo. She started her 4-H courier when she was 8 years old and then completed 10 years of 4-H participating in many projects including market beef, market swine, horse, photography, sewing, and cooking.
She attended Northeaster Jr. College in Sterling Colorado and graduated with an associate's degree in Applied Science in Business. She married Alvin Schaaf in 1995 and they now have three wonderful children. Terry and her family moved back to Pagosa in 2007. They had been living in La Plata County. They moved "home" to help on the family ranch and to give the kids a wonderful environment to grow up in.
Terry loves to cook, garden, sew, attend church, and hang out with friends and family. She is still very active in the Archuleta County 4-H program. You will often see her and her family at the local high and junior high school sporting activities. She has taught her children to enjoy the all the activities that Archuleta county has to offer from rodeo, school sports, playing in the rivers and lake, 4-H and much more.
She hopes to be an asset to the Archuleta County Extension Office as their Administrative Assistant. She has a weekly newspaper column, What's Cookin? in the Pagosa Springs SUN and oversees website design for the office.
