in Boulder County!
The Mission of Extension is "to provide information
and education, and encourage the application of research-based knowledge
in response to local, state, and national issues affecting individuals,
youth, families, agricultural enterprises, and communities of Colorado."
The Extension office provides assistance and programs for citizens
in five main areas: Agriculture, Horticulture, Family and Consumer
Science, Natural Resources and 4-H Youth Programs. As the name implies,
it is an extension of Colorado State University.
We offer the following departments:
- 4-H
Youth Development - traditional 4-H club program, school enrichment,
summer outreach
- Agriculture - small
acreage, weeds, production ag, marketing, water, small farms,
food and ag policy
- Family/Consumer - food safety,
food preservation, early childhood care, consumer issues
- Horticulture
- Master
Gardeners, natural resources, home gardening, PlantSelect
- Nutrition - eating
on a budget, healthy choices, food safety
- Natural
Resources - Wildlife Masters, wildlife conflicts and livestock
issues
