National Western Stock Show Competition

2008 AQHYA WORLD SHOW HORSE JUDGING CONTEST RESULTS

(update 8.21.08)

Boulder County 4-H Horse Judging Team, coached by Jodi Zeier, takes High Team and Champion honors at the prestigious American Quarter Horse Youth Association World Show Horse Judging Contest in Oklahoma City, OK!  The 4-H/FFA division included 15 teams and 57 individual competitors from across the United States.  The Boulder County team outscored the 2nd place team by 36 points, winning both the performance and the reasons divisions.  As the Colorado State Champion 4-H team, they will be competing at the AQHA Congress judging contest in October and the 4-H National Contest in January, held during the National Western Stock Show.

Christa Forsberg: 3rd high individual overall – 6th high in halter, 3rd high in performance and 9th high in reasons
Jordan Owen: 7th high individual overall – 2nd high in performance and 2nd high in reasons (tied for 1st )
Jessica Mullin: 8th high individual overall – 10th high in performance
Olivia Fetter: 8th high in performance

Halter: 3rd high team (4 points out of 1st)
Performance: 1st high team
Reasons: 1st high team
Champion team overall
