New Extension Webpage Template
Session 1
(Sept 08) The first lesson in the series is a tour of the various components of the Extension webpage template, and how they all fit together. (1 hour) http://connect.extension.iastate.edu/p57729952/
Use the following link to download the self extracting .zip file. After the download, double-click the file to extract the files. Homework for October is to extract the files, and come up with content for the home page and the left navbar.
Session 2
(Oct 08) We discussed where the content goes in the code of the index page, and how the code for ordered lists, unordered lists, and data definition list work. We added a headline, text and a picture to the center column of the index page, and added headlines, an unordered list and a data definition list to the right column of the index page. Also available are a download of the text and a download of the image used in the session. (1.5 hours)

Session 5
(Jan 09) We show how to download and install Filezilla, a free FTP (File Transfer Protocol) tool, and how to use it to transfer your template files from your local computer to the web server. We then show how to use Dreamweaver's built-in FTP to do the same thing. We discuss the general.css file, and discuss two different strategies on how to use it. We finally create our own .css file, build a text box in css, and append the new css file to the general.css file. (45 minutes)
