This class will introduce you to some of the lesser known bulbs that are adapted to this area and will provide specific information about the various species of the more common bulbs such as tulips and daffodils.

Sept 3 or Sept 4

Planting for Fall and Winter Interest
With the passing of spring and summer flowers, and the coming of fall, many landscapes become dull. Learn how to banish the fall and winter blahs with creative plantings that make the dormant season just as beautiful as spring and summer.

Sept 10 or Sept 11

Indoor Plantscapes & Winter Container Gardening
Freshen your home, and freshen your life, by surrounding yourself with houseplants. Learn how houseplants improve the quality of air you breath. Want to know what chemicals are potential pollutants in your home? Our class identifies those pollutants and then suggests an array of specific plants that remove the pollutants. Also learn proper selection of growing media and its importance to the health of your houseplants. As your container plantings wind down for the season, learn how to put them "to bed" for the cooler weather and dormancy. There will also be a demonstration showing how to keep your containers attractive through the winter.

Sept 17 or Sept 18

Maintenance: A Year in Review
We'll focus on the tried and true techniques necessary to keep your xeriscape looking beautiful, from trees and shrubs to perennials and turf. What does your landscape need to reflect Evidence of Care? Come find out!
