Food Stamp Nutrition Education
(FSNE)
The Food Stamp Nutrition Education Program provides nutrition
education classes that specifically target those who are eligible
for income-based assistance programs such as Food Stamps,
WIC, Head Start, and Social Service Programs
This program offers free classes to youth, adults, and seniors.
The program focuses on choosing nutritious foods, stretching
their foods dollars, and how to handle food safely.
Each class is taught in small groups and is full of interactive
activities, demonstrations and visuals.

Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program
(EFNEP)
Description
The Extension Nutrition Program provides free information
on how to buy and prepare nutritious meals while saving money.
The program is based on Extension's work in food, nutrition,
and food budgeting.
We strive to provide a positive, successful, and encouraging
experience for people with limited incomes.
Our free classes are offered on-site with any cooperating
agency.

People Who May Benefit
- Anyone receiving food stamps or those who qualify
- Anyone receiving any type of public assistance
- Families receiving WIC benefits
- Teen parents
- Pregnant
- Military with young families
- Group home residents
- Youth group participants - K thru 3rd grade
Upon completing this course, participants receive a free cookbook
and certificate of completion.
