How can I get information and help on weeds on my land?

in Gilpin or call 303-582-9106.
You can pick up pictures, fact
sheets, advice and encouragement.
Weed fair – each year during the growing season,
we hold a Weed Fair -- you can come and look at live specimens of
weeds, pick up fact sheets on weed control, and bring in your weeds
(or suspect weeds) for identification. This has been very popular
and informative - and even fun! Call for information on dates.
Similar information will be available at the Gilpin County
Fair, the third week in August.
County Cost sharing – In some cases, if the County
is already spraying right-of-ways in your area, you may be able
to get the weeds on your land sprayed for just the hourly cost (no
trip charge.) Call for more information
Homeowner associations – contact the Extension
office if you’d like a slideshow talk on weeds, help identifying
weeds, or if you want to get ideas for control.
