Mountain Garden

Welcome to the Colorado
Mountain Master Gardener's Website!

The Colorado Master Gardener's Mountain Gardening Website provides information written by master gardeners, extension agents and University specialists about gardening at high altitude, managing the short growing season, improving mountain soils, coping with wildlife, fire mitigation issues, pests and diseases of mountain plants, links to other helpful resources and, of course, tried-and-true mountain plant recommendations.

The Mountain Master Gardener's group is a subgroup of Colorado Master Gardeners who live and garden at 7,500 feet above sea level and above. At the moment, we are small, but dedicated, group in Gilpin County and beyond. We are committed to helping people deal with the unique challenges inherent in mountain gardening.
