Becoming a Jeffco 4-H Member

Becoming a 4-H member is easy!  First, determine what type of member you will be and then follow the simple steps below for enrolling.

Membership is based on your age when the "ball drops on New Year’s Eve."

• If you are 5 to 7, you will be a Cloverbud.

• If you are 8-18, you will be a 4-H member enrolled in one or more projects.

Enrolling

• Everyone needs to enroll each new 4-H year. 

• 4-H enrollment starts October 1 and is ongoing through September 30.  New and returning members must complete an enrollment form and pay the membership fee of $25/member.

• Returning members enrolling after May 1 must pay $40.00.

You can fill out an enrollment form at the club meeting for the 4-H club you are interested in. The leader will then get you enrolled and help decide what literature you'll need.  To get a referral to 4-H clubs in your area, call the 4-H office at 303-271-6620.
