Parenting and Child Development

Parenting programs and resources provide information on what to expect of children at different ages.  These resources are designed to help parents understand children's difficult behavior and improve family communication skills.

• Children, Youth and Families Education and Resource Network (CYFERnet):  Provides comprehensive research-based children, youth and family information

• Consumer Connections:  Weekly news columns on a wide range of consumer topics, written by Front Range consumer and family educators

• DARE to be You:  A program which builds on the strengths of youth and develops individual assets

• Families/Children Fact Sheets:  Two to four page articles on families and related topics

• Family Matters Newsletter: Newsletter for parents of young children published monthly by Northern Region Extension

• National Network for Child Care

• Parenting Matters:  A quarterly periodical
