As a cooperator
with the Colorado State Forest Service (CSFS), Morgan County Extension
takes orders for seedling trees. The seedling tree program enables
farmers, ranchers, and rural landowners who own at least two acres
of land to obtain trees at a nominal fee. The program encourages
landowners to establish effective windbreaks; to reduce erosion;
to protect homes, cropland, livestock, and highways; and to enhance
wildlife habitat. CSFS Nursery trees and shrubs are grown for
their conservation benefits only. Trees may not be resold as living
plants. Applications for trees and shrubs are available now and will arive last week in March or the first week in April. Return completed order along with payment to the Extension office by March 1st.
