documents to explain some of the most common programs we can offer
and a list of current 4-H projects.
It is in pdf format and you
can
mail it
to us or bring it to our office or email it to us.
We also have
copies around town and in our Office as well!
We have met wonderful people through Extension, we love what we do
and want to best serve the needs and interests of people in our communities.

Programming Survey
We would like your input on CSU 2010 Program Areas for our
the San Miguel and West Montrose Counties Communities!! THANK FOR YOUR INPUT!
Putting Knowledge to Work is the business of Extension.
“The mission of Colorado State University Extension
is to provide information and education, and encourage the application
of research-based knowledge in response to local, state and national issues
affecting individuals, youth, families, agricultural enterprises, and
communities of Colorado.”
The Colorado State University Extension San Miguel and West
Montrose Counties provides programs to a diverse area from the mountains
of Telluride at the elevation of 9,000 feet and upwards to the basin area
of Paradox at below 6,500 feet. Our county office is located in the community
of Norwood where the elevation is 7,020 feet. So as you can see, we are
an area that provides an assortment of recreational activities to a variety
of people.
The majority of the population resides in the Wright's Mesa Area. Some
of the communities we serve in San Miguel County include Telluride, Placerville,
and Norwood. Some communities served in West Montrose County area include
Redvale, Naturita, Nucla, Bedrock and Paradox.
